STORY
BEHIND THE NEW LOOK
Well, I figured it was time for a
change. My old page was hardly getting any looks, the last time I updated was
nearly a year ago, and all of the pages were the same old boring thing. So, I decided to do this. This new
site that you see is almost exclusively
details of my in-person autographing, with almost all other venues of getting
autographs cut out of the picture. Sure, I still do a bit of TTM, I still like
emailing the unknown college football coach with a request, I still collect
certified autos, and I still get rookie cards; but in-person autographing is by
far the most fun thing I do, and I think it’s the most interesting one to read about. Did you know former major leaguer Michael Coleman got
pissed off last year at me? Did you know one guy had to stop signing for me
because it took him too long to sign his name? Did you know Lastings
Milledge signed TWO for me???
So, this new site has only
three consistently updated pages. Those pages are the “In-Person Autographing”
page (formerly “In-Person Autographs”), the “Game-Used Gear” page (formerly “Game-Used
Memorabilia”), and the “Autograph Trade Page” (formerly “All Autographs” and “My
Want List”).
The In-Person page will give a summary for each game I go to,
along with autograph totals and valuable information on the signing habits of
baseball’s hottest prospects. I go to roughly 70 minor (and some major) league
games each year, last year getting about 2,000 autographs throughout the
season.
The Game-Used page will give a summary of all the cool gear I
get at ballparks. This includes baseballs, bats, batting gloves, etc., etc.
This year I’m planning on trying to get a lot more
game-used stuff.
The Trade Page is going to be the one way you can have access
to what’s in my collection via other ways (TTM, certs,
email, etc.), as it will have the “All Autograph” list, updated frequently,
listing every autograph that I have… but with no further details. To get
details of course you can always email me, at the address provided on this
site. Also on the Trade Page will be my trading policies and
what I’m looking for.
You may ask, why are you doing this?
Time. I am heading into high school next year and have
already been swamped with homework and other commitments (e.g. my job), which
makes me unable to update everything. Since my last update, everything I’ve
accumulated has just been piling up in a shoebox in my room, which turned into
a 5000-ct baseball card box, which then turned into my whole room. Furthermore,
I am still an avid collector, don’t get me wrong, and there are many ways you
can contact me. Here are some of my contact ways:
-RedSoxFan1291 on AOL Instant Messenger
-RedSoxFan91 on SASE Sports Sigs
Forum
-ggowfan on eBay Auctions
-Many other forums, under RedSoxFan91 and SimonsAutographs
-And, of course, via email (address below).
I will be keeping the skeleton of my old site up, but please
not I don’t still have everything listed, as those pages are
not being updated at all anymore. There may even be some errors on them…
so please, don’t ask about stuff on there. The only three pages I really want
to answer questions on anymore are the three active ones.
Anyways, thanks everyone for baring
with me for the last year in which this site has turned into a barren
wasteland, with only a few occasional guestbook posts, and the site counter
slowly going at about one person a week.
Any comments or questions may be emailed
to me, and I really appreciate all the support that I’ve gotten through this
site.

exclusively blue sharpie autograph collector,
